March 2016 Update
Hi everyone. I hope your 2016 has started well. I wanted to let you know of some new pieces available through the website.
Unison (optional SA) and Piano:-
Frederick Frog. With delightful words by Dinny O'Brien, this piece is suitable for junior primary choirs and was first commissioned by the Australian Girls Choir. It's great fun!
Walk In Someone's Shoes (commissioned by Penbank School in 2014) is a song written for the school's 40th anniversary. It was written for their Arts Week which had as its theme "connections".
SA and Piano: -
Sugarbird Lady (commissioned by WA Primary Schools' Massed Choir Festival in 2014). This tells the story of a courageous Australian woman, Robin Miller.
Moondyne Joe (commissioned originally as an SATB a cappella piece for Churchlands Senior High School's European Tour in 2015, but this is an SA and piano treatment of that version). This tells the story of a Western Australian bushranger.
Open The Doors (commissioned by the Catholic Education Office Sandhurst and Australian Arts Alive (a3) for the Jubilee year of 2016). This piece will eventually be arranged in myriad formats, but the SA and SSA ones are the first ones out.
This piece was inspired by Pope Francis symbolically opening the doors to St Peter's Basilica in Rome at the end of 2015 to pronounce 2016 the Jubilee year of Mercy.
SSA and Piano:-
Looking Up To You (commissioned by Lauriston Girls' School in 2015)
