Genre : Traditional Vietnamese folk song
Suitable for : primary choir upwards
This tells the story of a young man who, on each of 3 days, leaves home with first a shirt, then a hat, and finally a ring, and comes home without them. He gives these possessions to a loved one, but tells his parents the wind on the bridge has taken them. The sound of the wind on the bridge is 'Tinh tinh tinh'. It's a hauntingly simple piece, arranged with guidance by the musical director of a primary school choir in Hanoi. His choir performed this piece with the Australian Girls Choir at the Hanoi Opera House in 2004.
