Commissioned by the Western Australian Primary Schools' Massed Choir Festival for 2020, Against The Odds tells the dramatic story of the race to rescue Modesto Varischetti, a miner, who was trapped in a mine which had flooded due to heavy rain. After nine days he was rescued! This occurred in 1907. The piece offers your choir the opportunity to explore the tension and drama of this amazing story.
